Rivers in Estes Park Area

BIG THOMPSON RIVER BELOW THE DAM: - Try prince nymphs size 16, rainbow warriors size 20, San Juan worms, WD-40, RS-2, and BH Pheasant tail size 16.

BIG THOMPSON RIVER ABOVE THE DAM:  Prince nymphs, RS-2, WD40, Ray Charles, sow bug, zebra midge size 18

FALL RIVER:  RS-2, WD40, and black thread midge size 18, or poison tung

Lakes in Estes Park

LAKE ESTES

Trout worms, night crawlers, dardevils.  Also try power bait in pink or orange. Kastmasters in gold or silver work great.

MARY’S LAKE- They are biting on trout worms, salmon eggs, and green fire balls. Also try panther martin spinners in yellow and black.  The bubble fly method with a pistol Pete is a good choice as well

Fishing Rocky Mountain National Park

SPRAGUE LAKE: Good fishing in the evening.  Try size 18 parachute mosquito or flying black ant, also BWO extended bodies

HIGH MTN LAKE:, all lakes open and fishing well.  flying black ants, adams parachute, renegades

MORAINE PARK:  flying black ants, rs-2.  Also try BWO size 16,

ROARING RIVER: flying black ants
